2006 - Overseas exhibition in Tokyo - Japan
On July 19 last, Vacheron Constantin Japan celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Overseas design with a cocktail party at the Aquaroom Lounge in downtown Tokyo. It featured a display of Overseas models from 1996 to 2006 along with the newest additions to the model line, designed to mark its 10th anniversary.
Some 130 VIP guests, clients and media representatives were on hand to admire the Overseas presentation, set among giant aquariums suggestive of seas and oceans, travel and distant horizons. Along with the watch display proper, guests were treated to a screening of a film starring the Overseas line. They also had an opportunity of meeting John Kabira, who shared with them his appreciation for watches by Vacheron Constantin and regaled them with stories and anecdotes of his professional adventures.
John Kabira is a very popular radio and television personality in Japan. Along with radio talk shows, he appears on a number of Fuji Television football programs. He’s also featured on two shows on NHK, Japan’s premier TV network, called “Another Hero” and “A Night to Speak English”.
